Travelling Private Chef – Dubai

A private family based in Dubai is seeking an experienced and accomplished Travelling Private Chef to join them on a long-term basis. This is a sole Chef position for a candidate who combines excellent culinary ability with discretion, organisation and the flexibility required when working within a private household.
The family travels internationally, including to the United States, and the successful candidate will accompany them as required. A strong track record of longevity and stability in previous positions is particularly important.
The Role
Based in Dubai, the Travelling Private Chef will take full responsibility for the family’s day-to-day culinary requirements, preparing lunch and dinner and ensuring consistently high standards whether at the principal residence or travelling internationally.
The family enjoys Mediterranean, Middle Eastern/Arabic and European cuisine, and the successful candidate should be confident preparing a varied repertoire across these styles. Strong classical foundations and excellent sauce work are also important.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing fresh, high-quality lunches and dinners, including a lighter lunch service
- Planning varied and considered menus around the family’s preferences
- Preparing Mediterranean, Middle Eastern/Arabic and European cuisine to an excellent standard
- Managing all aspects of the kitchen independently
- Maintaining exceptional standards of organisation, cleanliness and presentation
- Adapting menus and sourcing ingredients while travelling
- Travelling internationally with the family as required, including to the US
The Ideal Candidate
- An experienced Private Chef with a strong background in private households
- A demonstrable history of longevity and stability in previous appointments
- Highly skilled in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern/Arabic and European cuisine
- Strong technical cooking skills, including sauces
- Passionate about food with consistently high standards
- Calm, organised and adaptable
- Discreet and professional when working within a private household
- Comfortable operating independently as a sole Chef
- Able to adapt confidently to different kitchens and locations when travelling
- Non-smoker
- Able to meet the international travel requirements of the position
Accommodation & Travel
This is a live-out position based in Dubai. Appropriate accommodation will be provided by the client whenever the Chef is travelling internationally with the family.
